You're darn tootin'! You did a beautiful job catching her lines with the lighting. My take on facial lines is exactly as your title says - it means a life fully lived.

This is sublime. For me it suggests something of Norse mythology. Heroic and classical.

And I recently suggested to you that one can't simulate pathos ... more fool me! Whatever this is, it's real.

A profoundly tragic photograph of great beauty and humanity, sheer hommage. It evoked, in me, Dylan Thomas's voice: "Rage, rage against the dying of the light...".

The thumbnail made me think this would be a good picture, and I wasn't disappointed. Perfect lighting (including the chin) and great focus/contrast. One of my top picks.

Excellent detail, tones and composition. I think it would look even better if the background was black.

Hmm. I guess you have to choose it as a favorite first, then leave a comment. It just deleted my original comment.
I had just gone on and on about how I like this and how it shows such a quiet strength. I also said something about the tonal range and the composition. All good things. I like it.

What a beautiful portrait of a life! Your title is also magnificent. This celebrates the living of a life and gives deep meaning to age. In our agist society this is a welcome look at having lived awhile. Thank you! My vote - 10 for photographic expertise, 10 for subject.

Bravo! I see so many photographs where the photographer has smooth out those lines and made the subject into something they are not.. usually at the subject's request. Beautiful face, excellent exposure, and wonderful composition. I wouldn't change a thing... you nailed this one. I cannot wait to see the rest of the portfolio from this photographer.
