In the rainby JinjitComment: Bokeh on this one has a very blocky or jagged feel to it. Would have liked to see it smoother: probably a digicam limitation. Nice water droplets on the flower. Light a bit flat. Colour correcion with curves might have helped a bit. |

Daisiesby BooZonComment: Nice image composition with the fuzzy daisies in the background. Would have liked to have seen this image a bit brighter. As it is shown here, the light is quite flat and takes away from the main subject's impact. |

Conflict of Interestby pumaComment: Nice idea but the bokeh made up of the word "Pepsi" has a very weird look to it and hurts the eyes when looked at. Kind of a cool effect though. |

Anyone Seen Laurie?by SkipComment: Wonderful point of view. And the answer to the title question, she's the one on the far left: bla, blabla, bla bla bla! I kid, I kid... . |

Cowboy Cookby BAMartinComment: Nice picture. Too bad the highlights on his shirt are blown out. |

Innocent Soulby TLL061Comment: Interesting statue, but how can a shot of a statue be candid? To be candid I think the thing your are photographing has to be sentient, a living, breathing entity. Technically this photo is quite good. Nice shallow DOF and great lighting. I like how the eyes are slightly darker than the rest of the face. Pretty good bokeh (our word of the week) too.

A visit from the neighbor's childrenby camelotnorthComment: A few problems with this one: i) image too small, ii) red seems oversaturated (their fingers and glass of juice), and iii) they're both looking straight at the photographer. I may be interpreting the concept wrong, but I always thought that a candid shot was one where the person(s) did not know they were being photographed. |
