Both the composition and the tonal range of the black and white image is visually pleasing. I only have the tiniest nitpick in that the obvious carpet underneath bugs me. But other than that I really like it, especially the great detail throughout the image. What made you choose the word elation over other 7 lettered words? Just curious 7

To me this looks like you combined several hummingbirds into one picture. It seems too coincidental that 7 hummingbirds would come to a feeder at once (especially since they are territorial and tend to chase others away from their food sources). However, I will rate this as if it were completely legit, and let the SC validate or disqualify it. 7

The background is sort of a yellowy white rather than a true white (at least in my monitor). I think this image would have been more effective if you had made it a true white. The black thing in the orange cup is also distracting.
Other than that, I do think this meets the challenge well and has a nice composition.

This certainly meets the challenge. The slanted angle makes a nice composition and I like the contrast between the green and brown. However, your subject matter is somewhat boring to me. I find that I keep staring at the leaves rather than the bark, because the background is more visually pleasing for me.

This image is very nice. Especially the butterflies eyes and its general color is very interesting.
However, I do think that for the challenge it is somewhat of a stretch. I would never have gotten it without the title, and at least to me legs, tongues, antennas are distinctly different things.
I am going to give this a 6 for image quality.

This is a beautiful image. The composition, colors, and mood are just perfect. I really can't think of anything to improve on.
I am trying to figure out how this was achieved. Clearly the marbles are a little submerged in water, but what is creating that lovely texture underneath? Is it sand?

I believe that the birds need to stand out from the background more in order for this picture to be effective. A shallow DoF would have done wonders.
Its a good photo, but the background becomes far to distracting, it overwhelms the birds. 5

Many photos can make you Oooh and Aaaaah at the cuteness. But only few can make you FEEL the photo. That is what this photo does for me. I don't just see, but FEEL the tenderness of the moment, and it is powerful.
