The Stalkerby jagarComment: Congrats on the top 7, but I have to say I'm a bit disappointed this is not on the front page. This was a top 3 shot for me....at the very least a top 5. Nonetheless, well done! |

Murder on Montrose Way by LevTComment: Best shot of the bunch! As I already said, I'd be extremely disappointing if this did not get Blue. Well executed and congrats again! |

PHOTO DEADLYby ShutterRevComment: I like this shot primarily because of the composition and the props used. With the more dramatic lighting and more natural position of the gun this may have been an 8-9 from me. Nonetheless great job! 7 |

Who Doesn't Like Grandma's Cookies?by loveComment: I came away extremely conflicted from this image. On the positive side, perhaps no other shot here (with exception of one) has made me come back to it as many times and stop and think about it. The model is just superb! She did a fantastic job with the facial expression, posture, etc. It just screams Hitchcock to me!!! The lighting is almost great....I just think it's a touch too harsh as the completely washed out areas on her face and forearm indicate. I also like the processing with a slightly greenish tint. However, here is why I'm giving this the score that I am:
1. Technical aspects (not sharp enough, high-key areas are over-exposed...there are also two distracting white spots on the black part of the blouse (either hot pixels or ???)..should have been cloned out. More of the knife shadow in the composition would have been great!
2. As much as I love Hitchcock and horror genre, in my classical definition of Film Noir this just DNMC. I wish it did...and perhaps it's my own film snobbery but I simply cannot vote this higher in a Film Noir challenge.
With better technical aspects this would have been a 7-8 shot from me in this challenge. The way it stands...it's a 6...although part of me really wishes I could score this higher. It's a superb shot on it's own. |

Interrogation by MAKComment: Good portrait, but just don't get the Noir feel from this. -1 for unlit cigarette. Lighting is ok but I find the white had and white tie too distracting and rather conflicting with the noir genre (if that makes sense). Still solid effort. 6 |

Another Dark Tale From The Naked City...by mefnjComment: This is one of the better shots in the challenge. Great composition, lighting and props (attention to detail). Had a similar idea glad I did not do it because you executed superbly! Well done! |
