Orbitby CutterComment: Oh yes, this is just beautiful. I haven't gotten that far yet in voting, but I think you are going to do well with this one. It's truly abstract (to me at least, I have no idea what I'm looking at). Lots of texture and color, yet I can project something that I recognize into the image. Congrats on a wonderful shot! |

Space Invadersby hotpastaComment: Great title. Cheese grater? I like the background lighting a lot, and also that the lighting on the grater is not even. I wish the grater was a little more shiny, but for that you would've had a brand-spanking new one I guess ;) |

<{=[-¤-]=}>by myceliumComment: Very nice colors and textures and shapes. I have absolutely no clue what I'm looking at ... for once that's a plus in a DPC challenge :) Only thing I find slightly distracting is the OOF lower left corner. Wonder if a different crop would've improved that, or if you would've been able to take the shot with greater DOF. |

Reaching into the sky...by kari1Comment: Nice capture, sort of abstract, like the contrast between the stone carving and the blue sky, however, your sky is very pixelated on the right, which I find distracting. Saving at a higher quality setting (to use the available 150kb) would probably solve this. |

sky lathby briantammyComment: Interesting pic, three very different areas, both for tonality and texture. I think I would prefer a little more DOF for the top part. |

Tulip Curlby FalcComment: Fantastic shot. I love it when people do unusual stuff with flowers and pull it off ... you definitely did. Congrats on your high placement :) |

Aflameby toffleComment: Yep, an abstract. I can tell it's some sort of a glass object, but not exactly what. I have to confess the thing that draws most of my attention in the image is the orange area in the bottom left (flame?), and just in general the lower part of the image (more color and texture going on), so overall, it feels a bit unbalanced to me. |

Vegetable and Mineralby GermaineComment: Nice contrast of texture and color. Like the post-processing, too. Not sure it's really an abstract since at least the rope is fairly recognizable. |

Red Pumpsby dacrazyrnComment: Nice post-processing on the desaturation, great shoes :) I have looked at this one a few times now, trying to figure out why it is that, despite good editing, the image doesn't appeal to me that much (yet the thumbnail is clearly interesting enough for me to open the image up again). I think it's the cut off upper body primarily, somehow it feels disjointed that way. I'll check back tomorrow to see if you have left some photog comments. |

Springtime in Indianaby rjpatComment: Nice composition and colors. Love how far you can see. Since this was post-processing, I'd love to see a bit less noise in the sky and the spot underneath that one cloud edited out. Other than that, very nice. |
