Very good use of negative space... we all know how tiny and useless a match seems in a big dark place, and you caught that feeling well. Just enough light to illuminate the fingertips and nothing else! Very mysterious and spooky.

Very powerful. It evokes death in all the blackness, and the blankness of the face, but seems to give the impression of life in the blood red mid-tones.
