I am more of an observer than a creator, and prefer to shoot in natural light with my eyes wide open. I look for meaning in the mundane and search for beauty that is hidden in plain sight. You can read more about me and see more of my work on my website.
I was pretty active on this site back in the 2000 oughts, when I finally made the switch from film to digital. Have not been as active in recent years, but between retirement and the pandemic I am thinking that might change.
When I first joined I ran a few side challenges and tournaments that people seemed to like:
A Better Than Average Side Tourney
The Best of 2009 Juried Free Study
The Walkabout Hall of Fame Walkabout #1 Walkabout #2 Walkabout #3 Walkabout #4
EstimatedEyes, if you're interested, refers to an oft-played couplet of Grateful Dead songs: Estimated Prophet > Eyes of the World, the latter of which contains the apropos line:
"Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world."
