 I originally intended this as an HDR shot, but I didn't like how it turned out in photomatix so I reimagined it as a grunge shot, which I think fits a game like this that has been around forever. Most of the effect came from boosting contrast and fiddling around with shadow hilites sliders, and from some aggressive lightness adjustments in the Hue/Sat layer. (I use PS Elements 5). Added a strong film grain filter, then blurred it out with neat image at the end. A bunch of other edits as well.

I hope the editing is edgy enough to grab the speed voters, and the wordplay on the board will get the attention of everyone else. I wanted to say VOTE TEN on the tiles in the foreground, but I ran out of Ts, so nine will have to do. lol.

Reminds me of a time when my sister got pregnant with her first child. We were having a family dinner.. and after dinner she was like.. let's play scrabble, and she brought out the scrabble game, and opened the box.. she had it set up with a message that said "We Are Having A Boy"...

Like the subdued, grainy effect. Nice planning. Would like the board squarer for even-ness, or more at an angle so it looks on purpose, and not just a wonky capture.
