I had been using a point and shoot camera for over 20 years, but I did not purchase my first digital camera until 2005. This is my first experience with an an online forum and this is my third year participating in DCP. Although I have learned a lot from this forum, my biggest complaint is the sameness of the photo's - if there is a winning image, then everyone copies it ad nausea.
When voting in challenges, I do not make a lot of technical comments, but I do know what I like and I am learning. However, I am a Christian and my biblical world view does impact my life, my photography, and my voting patterns - some things portayed in the photographs I can just ignore, but other things are clearly offensive and irritating. Therefore, whatever comments I make you can take it or leave it. We don't have to agree - it's really OK. I enjoy my hobby and I want it to stay fun and relaxed. So save your time and don't send rude pm's. |
