This image got called up early in voting and has only just been validated. As it now has the validated message beneath it (and my score has been rising since validation), sources indicate that it was requested for validation by numerous voters.

Would somebody please tell me what made you think it was illegal....I have been racking my brains all week.

For the ones who thought it was the background....I actually shot this outdoors, natural light, in front of an open garage in shade. Hence the black background. The white lines in the eyes are a nearby fence.

Awww come on....why has my title disappeared...it was there before rollover!!!

This dog is a cross between a Husky and a Chow and is absolutely adorable. When this photo was taken she was recovering from a major op so wasn't her full bubbly self. Her name is Bear.....hence the title...lol!

I didn't see anything worth validating... I gave you the minimum score allowed as you title was misleading... nah just kidding i was one of your 10's ;-P

I can't imagine why this was tagged for validation! Perhaps the perfectly black bg (reminiscent of Juliet's recent DQ?). Regardless, what a face. Congrats on the HM>

I assume the validation call was because some people thought the background had been obliterated... It's a lovely image, congrats on HM.

Wonderful pet portrait. It's my top choice for a ribbon in this challenge. I don't do studio work with animals, but this is very well done. 10

Every dog of this breed I've seen is named "Bear". :-) Missing a couple of teeth? Excellent detail here.

Oh! SOoo well done! I love the black background and how you've filled the frame with the face. I'd have cropped the top just a bit to make it feel even more intimate and a bit more even around the edges. But, that's a nitpick.
