This is a great photo visually, but it doesn't convey hope to me very much, probably because of the aloneness of the child. The child is great, but he almost seems restricted into the (black & white) concrete or structured background. If you hadn't titled it what you did, this photo honestly wouldn't inspire much "hope" in me, and instead melancholy.

its a wonderful photo but i feel if you would have cropped some off of the top, maybe down to the top of the rectangles there would be more focus on the little boy. I tried it out by simply scrolling down on my screen and it did produce the effect.

Good lighting and contrast. I would suggest to crop out the stuff at the top - compared to the rest it's pretty dull and to my eye detracts from the action of the running child.
