 This was one of the first ideas that popped into my head for this challenge. It's a win-win idea, as I can get a nice photo, and have a snack too -somehow my props kept diminishing as I was shooting ;).

This setup was pretty simple. The raspberries were placed on a piece of freshly cleaned glass on top of a piece of styrofoam. Another piece of styrofoam was propped up as the background, and lit with two 100W lamps. An umbrella was sitting pretty much directly camera right, and I was shooting through the umbrella to provide soft wrapping light.

I didn't notice until I had the photos in the computer how many little hairs there on on the berries (that is what looks like noise). I was hoping for more reflective qualities, but it must be a different variety of raspberry that provides that.

Ahh, my favourite fruit! Capture is sharp, the black levels are a bit light for my tastes but overall nice work.

Oh. I like this. The grain not so much... but I really like the pop "in your face" berry and the white background.
I think I'd have left a tiny bit more white on the left edge for balance, but that's a nitpick. :D
