Thanks for the great score, the wonderful comments, and the fave!

I wanted to add that I came back to this spot just a couple of hours after taking this photo, and three of the five leaves had fallen to the ground.

Here's an unedited version of this photo, straight from the camera except for resizing:

Really nice work Damon. Congrats on the high finish. The mood and tones are right on...so is the border!

So glad you didn't remove the background - it tells the story, otherwise it would just be a picture of some leaves!

The light, color, and repeition of the main subject leaves make a composition that would justify eliminating the background (maybe by holding a dark cloth behind them or moving to backlight from a direction that doesn't inlcude the tree and fence).

I really like the DOF here and angle of the leaves.

I'm not sure why, but this image really appeals to me. Especially appreciate the contrast of the bright yellow leaves with the boring, drab brown wall.

Awesome, awesome and did I say AWESOME shot. The way you've focused on the leaves is what grabs me. 9

Oh I love this. I like the slightly out of focus tree in the BG, but it would also look cool to just see the leaves. They have an almost 3-D appearance. ;)

Beautiful colour. I love the softened background and the way it pushes those lovely leaves forward.
