 HDR Composite from 3 variations of a single RAW exposure, processed to TIFF in ACR, merged in HDR Efex Pro, tweaked with Viveza and Silver Efex Pro in a luminance layer, local adjustments done via CS5 masking layers.

Fresh and exhilarating scene. Beautiful. The stop-motion waves add to the immediacy and freshness of the image (both as a moment in time and that it's not another blured out seascape ;) Nice tones, and nice movement in the clouds. I can feel the strong breeze from here.

I can feel the harsh weather along the coast. Even the calmest of days there seems to be this pent up energy in the air. Great stuff.

Very painterly look. Lots of detail in the surf, which is sometimes lost with blended images. Excellent control of the exposure.

The sky is wonderful. The waves appear almost 3-D. I really like the perspective and the pop of red from the roof. ;) (I would have expected a bit more blur from the movement of the waves since HDR is several exposures.)

To some the range would be too high. I rather like the image but just a tish less would not have harmed.

Beautiful colour in the waves. Still, I think B&W would look awesome here. The colour of the vegetation is a bit bland.
