Photograph Information Photographer's Comments
Challenge: Neon (Basic Editing I)
Camera: Sony DSC-F828
Location: Lower Breidholt, a suburb of Reykjavik
Date: Aug 15, 2004
ISO: 64
Shutter: 25
Date Uploaded: Aug 16, 2004

There are not a lot of Neon signs here on the little rock in the north, so I had to improvise and create my own.
Had the exposure on 25 seconds, wrote NEON, switched my little LED light for a big pen (which I do not think is very obvious) Had the wife ready with a MAG light and when I was ready in a pose had her shine on me for the remaining few seconds.

Very cool idea. I wish you had found a less cluttered space to do it in.

I wouldn't mind knowing how you acheived this effect without bending the rules.
Nice shot though.

the guy distracts you attention from the message he is writing.

Nice idea, and good outcome. I would have liked to see a vertical framing/cropped version of this, at least without the wall on the left side of the photo, and maybe only half of the wall on the right side, leaving some of the light reflection on the wall there in the photo, that and also cropping out the light showing at the top would have made this photo much better as a photograph.

It's really cool how you captured time. I like how you illuminated the light writer, it makes the photo interesting.

Nice effect, how did you get this shot without any motion blur on the gentleman?

That is VERY freaking cool! Some people won't like the chubby guy, but I don't care. I like this shot.8

I'd like to see you elaborate on this and get crazy with it. Great idea but taking it further would be even more interesting.

Wonderful idea! Extra wonderful title! Only 2 comments: the background should be choosen whit more attention and cropping away the upper zone of the photo makes the photo nicer!

Interesting effect.

This is most definetely a very neat and creative idea - but the location for me isn't appealing, with the doors and walls ... a nice simple background would have been nice. But, that said, its COOL! :D
