Been thinking about it some more. I have never been comfortable with holding a camera up to my face. So I was instantly delighted w/the digital camera screen. I used a Sony DSC F-707 for about 3 years. The small screen was just about useless in the bright sunlight shooting flowers, & that was when I began to aim the camera by looking at the direction the lens pointed, lining up the focal plane w/the detail I wanted. That was also when I discovered the amazing difference a very small change in camera-angle can make to the look of the shot. If I had to keep my head behind the camera, I would shoot cut flowers only. This shot would've required me to lie down in the tulip bed or dig a hole to stand in. I would be banned from the Botanical Garden! I'd have to turn to landscape photography! Aiee!
