 Well... they are actually a very dark maroon, but I just love the rich texture and color.

Oh, aren't they divine? I love hollyhocks and never remember to plant any until I see them flowering. Thanks for showing these. Maybe it's not too late yet to plant some here (Australia).

Gorgeous flowers. These remind me of the ones that grew at the side of our house when I was growing up. We had them in a dark maroon, pink and white for a gorgeous display every summer. Sadly, the people that bought the house dug them all out.
