Fritz Lang or Flash Gordon :), it was my only 10 and a fave. Absolutely amazing and timeless. This challenge wouldn't have been so rich without this one.

I think I prefer the bw hdr images to color. This one is nicely done.

Surreal and beautiful scene, looks like night turned into day. Footsteps vanishing towards the vanishing building. My favorite.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: This should be HDR overkill but somehow you've pulled it off - the effect perfectly suits the image and cliche becomes surprisingly appropriate drama. The tones are wonderful and the pockets of sharpness towards the margins of the image work well to lead the eye.

Critical stuff: That dark streak of dark cloud on the left is a little distracting - it might have paid to clone some bright clouds in there to break it up a bit.

Overall: Very nicely made.
