Thanks for the comments, everyone...

It was actually a candid shot... I had gone out for ice cream with my girlfriend and my friend Scott. He had just received his order at the next window over when I thought that the textures of the wall, floor, and his feet made a very traditional feeling composition, and snapped off a shot.

I post-processed it a good bit to give it a definite "aged" feel, but without the sort of cliche sepia or a simple vingette. The image in my head when I composed it was definitely a muted, thick, brush-stroked feel ala Rockwell (good catch, irispetra).

Another under rated photo - This is just wonderful -I think DPC voters don't like th gimicky edges but it works sooo well in this photo, ANd what a pose!!!

I didn't know that stance had a name! Good composition, good light/dark range.

I think I would have liked this one more without the effect done at the bottom of the photo.

My favourite shoes. I believe that the softness of the picture is on purpose, but I think the image would be better overall if it were sharper and in focus.

Overall - 6
(scale: 1-10; 5 is average)

Reminds me of a picture which might accompany an old-time magazine ad; evocative despite (or because of) the minimalist approach.

the way the some of the shadows are making the image a bit flatter, it looks like the guys left ankle is broken or at the very least is a very ackward position.
