 This is a retake of my very first entry at DPC in Clouds challenge:


The comments said:
- the tree is the main focus
- lack of color makes it busy
- too centered composition
- too dark

I tried to address all of these. It is not the same scene but it is in the same area. Hopefully this is an improvement and the score will be higher!

I don't remember the first one; however, this one is very lovely. The horses are a little soft, but then so is the whole. Not sure if is unlevel or if there is an incline. (voted earlier)

Well now, the colors in this picture are spectacular. I like the fat that we have a 'slanted' horizon too. It adds an oomph to the image. This is my pick for 2nd place. Excellent!

The colors of this photo really take it to the next level. It's great to start off with a perfectly composed scene, but you add those colors and it comes alive.

Oh this is wonderful. Looks very "Texas" to me. The negative space in the middle is great. If I were to nitpick anything, maybe not cutting off part of the shrub to the right of the horses, but no big deal. Love the muted palette and those clouds! Any photo with a horse, cow or dog, always gets an extra point, so that would make it a 9. GOOD GOING.
