Nice exposure, but I'd like more blue.

where is the blue?

I don't see a lot of blue as per the challenge topic

To me this photo deserve a < 9 > if not a < 10 > but you don't meet the challenge because there is nothing in it related to the Challenge theme (BLUE). I decided first to NOT vote for it but after discussion in the DPC Forum I voted anyway a < 4 >. This score is in between the <9> you deserve and the <1> for not meeting the challenge.

CONGRATULATION anyway for this splendid photo, plenty of athmosphere ;o)

This is an exceptional image. The long exposure really added some nice "ghost" figures. The bike and especially its shadow are EXCEPTIONAL. Now if only that red plastic sheet was blue instead of red, you'd have an image suitable for entry. As it is, there is no major component of blue.

i don't see blue, but i really love this picture anyway. :)

This is a a photo I'd definately want on my wall, it is a great street photo, but I just can't place it in the blue challenge... The shadow of the bike, and the moving people look so cool. I assum eyou just have used a tripod for this, or some other support? It's intersting that the chap in white didn't stop to look at you, which might have made the photo more interesting. The range of tones and mixed colour temperatures (Green on the left I assume is a sodium light?) is all just too cool. Well done. I'm giving it a 9, even though it dosn't meet the challenge, I really like it.

Blue? Where's the blue? The bike maybe? It's too dark to tell.

Blue?

While this is an interesting scene, I see neither blue nor the moon in this picture. The shadow cast by the bicycle and the phantom children in the background are interesting compositional elements.

Nice composition. This pic is like a painting.

sorry, but i'm not finding anything blue here...is it my monitor?

Where's Blue?

Boy do I like this shot....great shadows, movement, ghost like effects of the people walking out of the frame during what I'm guessing was a long exposure...I'll give you some leeway in that it is at night and shot in moon light...but you really needed something a more discernible blue...I'm guessing the bike is blue, but it is not discernible on my monitor.....Maybe you could have made that large plastic thingie blue....Ah me....welll I go 7 cause I do like it but it would have done better with the blue.

I don't see anything blue here. Let me know if I'm missing something.

Blue?
08/02/2004 11:51:23 AM
How does this demonstrate blue? It's totally the opposite of blue, I can't even see the color blue in this photo. You must have misunderstood the challenge somehow. I'm sorry, but I think this will end up very low although it's not a totally bad photo, but it doesn't fit in the challenge IMO.

Blue? As far as the picture goes. The light sorta ruins the whole mood. In order of looking, the light(brightest), the people(a part of human nature), the bike. The bike and the shadow, I feel, are the best part of the picture but I have to look at the light and people first and they are not worth looking at, imo.
08/02/2004 08:45:54 AM
It is sad since that photo is very good I can't see anything blue in it and not even the moon.
08/02/2004 02:45:43 AM
Can't see the relationship to 'blue' or 'moon' here, but a nice enough image.
08/02/2004 01:51:29 AM
wheres the blue?
08/02/2004 12:43:43 AM
Not really seeing much blue here, sorry.
08/02/2004 12:39:56 AM
Cool shot, but unfortunately I don't see any blue.
