A candid on the streets of London. I wanted to title it "θ" for his half lidded eye and the tube sign in the background, but it would not take the theta. So, I had to change it to titling it after the giant ferris wheel in London.

Thanks for the great comments. I am very happy with a top 10 finish in a challenge with a number of great entries. Also, I am very thrilled with the juried award for this pic:

I hesitate to say "eye opener," but this is truly sharp.

It surely is a spelndid shot. Out of curiosity, how close were you of the man when you took the picture?

For those of us who are candid shooters, this is a Holy Grail kind of shot. Excellent subject and wonderful placement of the iconic items within the frame - the Metro sign, the bus... even the older woman seems to play a role here.

Extremely strong and human work and maybe my challenge favorite. As for contemporary art, well, it would probably fit right in with what was cutting edge several decades ago, but it still works. Nice treatment to bring out the eye.

NIce example of how a little editing can go a long way. The lighting and processing a re exceptional. And being that is has sort of a "dark" vibe to it, I would expect it in the top 10 at least. 8

Great capture of a brain working at unusual speed and consummated by its own work.
The more I look, the more convinced I am that the man is an inventor of sorts or a Physicist and his almost palpable ideas are lost on us. Top 10!

Creepy for all the wrong reasons. I'm guessing you worked the background, and it does help tell your story.

This shot to me is fascinating. Really a great capture and great DoF... Fine Art makes you stop and wonder, feel emotion, and then interpret what you just saw. This image does all three masterfully, 9

I love this image, tones, composition, DOF. my only quibble is that you seem to have "worked" on the eye a bit too much. I would prefer a pleasure of "discovering" the eye on my own instead of being forcefully led to it.
