Thank you for the great comments and faves! This was an intentional shot, I think I'm finally getting the idea how to use blur in action. For that reason, this is a very special image.

Taken at the kayak slalom championship in Matka. This red gate was the most interesting place for me, the way the kayakers were turning and were grabbed by the current, after passing the gate.

Thank you BrennanOB for the recognition, I appreciate it.

Oh wow, this was yours? Like Brennan, I had this one ranked in the top of my list. What a silly result the voters delivered!

I always give special mention to the images I think got overlooked the most by voters, and this week you are in that unfortunate position. I had yours and the 84th place in my top five, oh well I thought you really nailed that hovering sense of the turn as the maelstrom crashes by. So either we were wrong or they were, but I still think they were.

I keep coming back to this image and taking a longer look. I really like it; the blur adds to it, imo. Bumping up

Im not a huge fan of blur, but it suits your subject so well that her it really works for you. Top five.

Focus on the subject not the pole. This is a messed up picture you thought you could pass off as art, the kayak should have been your focal point

Great photo, but to me it has sepia tones, not grey.

Excellent abstract movement. So much to the story in this brief capture. Excellent composition. Well done.

Fabulous action shot. I actually feel like the water is sweeping me along.
