 That's it. I've shot the entire produce section and then some. Tried to be original, but went with a veggie. Hopefully, I'm not making Mr. Weston roll over in his grave.

I've read all the threads, looked at tons of his images, and to me they're about eroticism. Oddly, he seems to de-sexualize his nudes, but creates extremely sensual images with his vegetables. That's what I tried to do...

Sort of like a big puckered kiss. Congratulations on your top-10. I'm glad it worked out this way. In reading your notes above, I am reminded what a great education DPC offers, when one takes the initiative to do the research.

This is the image in this challenge that jumps out and grabs me, its as if the veg has emotion and is angry, or as if there is going to be an explosion, great.

Fantastic shapes, a great choice for this challenge. Your lighting is also perfect, and absolutely Westonian. Congratulations on your 6th place, although it would have deserved a ribbon imho!

Great shot Johanna. It looks like a kapow to the face. I gave you a 7 for such a well done and powerful image. The only criticism is some slightly blown highlights, but that is minor.

I see many areas that are OOF. Lighting is fabulous. Reminds me of a clenched fist and ready to either impode or explode, not sure which but a strong sense of an impending very sudden movement. I'm glad it's not a pepper, or a nude, or a mushroom. going with a 8 for now.
