Cory, I was meandering through DPC abstracts and was rewarded by finding this. Thank you. Such a wonderful image. A really fine piece of art. Great lines and colors. My appreciation was heightened ever further by reading docpjv's description...

This in my very honest and humble opinion is fine art. The soft pastel colors are enhancing and in fact contributing to the strength of this composition. The little and soft, off-played by the harsh cutting circular edge..... this is a piece of steel cut by a cutting torch faultlessly and soft colors and golden spots that softens the harsh reality of steel. This is color lines perfectly intersected by double outside cut lines and the vertical lines!

This is something I will look at and rediscover new lines and spots and scratches every time.

It won't let me in, though I've stared at it for a long time, looking. Instead, it's like a gong struck for meditation, the reverberating sound I can barely hear causes me to float away, thinking nothing. Minimalist. It's a perfect abstract in that I get no sense of time at all, no sense of a moment in time captured. In spite of the pink sky & the wavy horizon, any sense of space I might get is forestalled by the curving shape. I'm going to call this asemic writing--a wordless open semantic form of writing. I hope you do more of these.
