Yikes! Those talons =:-O I do see Bald Eagles in relatively urban areas but usually in trees or way up in the sky. Congrats on finding some manmade context for these beauties! |

Nicely captured. My only issue is the horizontal crop is a little tight and cramps your subject. |

Definitely the best critter shot in the challenge, you cant beat eagles and getting two of them in range is a stroke of fortune, capturing them at just the right moment speaks of skill. My only knock is the saturation of the sky. I know this is the color of the sky when captured with long glass on a clear day, but it is just so jarring that I feel it hurts the image, the purity of the color wrestles the eye away from these magnificent birds. Had you muted the blue down a bit, or gone whole hog and converted to B&W (as I did with my much more prosaic bird shot with the over blue sky) it would have been the pick for the top spot. As is top five. |
