 | 2nd bloody attempt, so annoyed with myself!! Remember to backup your pictures!!!
 ---------------------------------------------
I'm not a mechanic, wanted to try out my new Lastolite which I got for my birthday. Tried lots of different lights, used two Hallogen 150w lamps on each side. Used a Canon 550ex bounced off the top of the Lastolite to try and light up the top of the sockets.

Hope people see it fits the challenge if I was a mechanic...

Wish this was members challenge, had quite a few dust spots on it, that's why the cropping is so tight.

Already done a shot like this before for the Still Life challenge, wanted to try and better it.

Autolevels, cropped, curves, sharpen, neat image, shadow/highlight, USM, raised colour balance slightly on blue over whole image.

		| | nice clean setup, good composition. I like the blueish tint. There is a clear reflection showing in the wrench (furniture ?), could have been shielded.. |

		| | I like the diagonal of the wrench and the curve of the thingies. Neat light reflections and no fingerprints on the chrome is excellent! |

		| | I really like this. Your composition and lighting are superb. It may not be an "everyday object" for some - but it works for me. The only thing I would suggest for improvement is to remove the slight magenta cast and make the background a pure white. |

		| | Guy focused on the handle, Lina the small nuts with light reflecting, I admit the same lower left area was where I first gazed. |

		| | cool composition, this is a really clever idea.. I wish the background were more white than blue... After the challenge is over, I would suggest trying to tone down all the blue in this photo and make it a more cleaner, purer white, and this would a fantastic stock photo |
