Since most people don't notice the textures on a golf ball, I thought that I would help them. SO this is a Golf Ball Close-Up. RAW Conversion, PS Elements for b&w, Contrast and brightness, Unsharp Mask, despeckle. Used a piece of black paper for the backdrop.

Like the use of light

If you purposely used a scuffed ball to show use, I can see that, but I think a new ball would look better in the shot and still convey the same meaning.

Light too harsh on upper left.

Ya hit that skinny! ;-) My tips for this photo. Keep your head down and swing with rythm.

Gorgeous! Only gripe is the flaws on the ball. Distracting from the abstract-ness of the image.

nice golf ball shot. could you have backed the light off just a bit? also, try this some time with a ball that has a little more of a story to tell...more scrapes and cuts.

Nice lighting, sets the mood. However the dirty golfball is very distracting, and the image isn't very sharp

Nice shot. Great contrast. Personally, I think it would have been a more powerful image with a pristine ball. The scratches and such just seem to distract.

i like the idea, and image here. it looks very similiar to my football shot for the textures II challenge... my highest scoring image. nice job on not blowing out the highlights, and keeping the black nice and dark...7
