I thought about doing my first wine glasses and doing the same type of thing. I'm so glad I didn't -- there's no way I could have competed with yours! Congrats on the top 10. :) |

Probably the best done of these, but the earth underexposed. Since this was advanced editing, you could have fused a better exposure, or perhaps used more bounce toward it. |

Amazing how many people came up with the same idea. But all achieved a little differently. This is my top pick for the idea. Even though it is classic DPC "Purdy Glasses" Congrats. |

nice idea.. but lacks light.. this image would have much more impact if the background was a solid color and you had a brighter light source aimed at it.. also some soft lighting from the side or slightly front of the glasses would give the earth in the glass more detail. would have been cool to see the top of the flame.. advanced editing to take out some of the hot sports and reduce noise. |

This is the cleanest execution of this idea. Well for me that is. =) |

Very nicely lit, though I do wish there could be a little more detail in the "earth" glass. Well-balanced composition. I particularly like the reflections in the tabletop, and the background has a very pleasing texture. I wonder how it would look if there was a little more light falloff toward the top of the background, leaving it darker behind the flame. |

What are the odds that a similar image came just before you. Likewise, beautifully conceived and executed. The base of the stems and their reflection for some reason make me think of chicken feet. Once I saw them that way, I just can't seem to unsee it. Has no effect on the score, just thought it was funny. |

Really nicely done! Just LOVE the flames in the glass (wonder if the glass broke or shattered?). One nitpick is that with the exposure as is, the earth component is a black mass (at least on my monitor), and cant really tell what it is? Some small lighting to give it color/contrast/texture would've blown this out of the park! Wonderful photo as is, and a 7. |

This could be KarenNfld's work, very well done. Only nitpicks would be the sooted glass and the height of the flame |
