 walking on the firetrail today and got close enough to get a photo of this monarch .. its rare that they let you so close .. think he was really enjoying the nectar ..
used close up of a tree on the firetrail as an overlay ..


reckon they should have an insect/spider gallery ..

I love how you've got that gentle texture in there, but kept the clear head features of the monarch. You did do well to sneak up on him.
