 All along the Strand (from Torrance on up past Santa Monica) there are large group of seagulls that sit on the beach. I see them when I ride my bike there. They form pretty neat formations - usually square or rectangular. I thought about trying to get them to fly, but they seemed pretty bent on staying on the ground for the most part.


P.S. I know I should be shooting pigeons for this, so apologies to Wendy for shooting seagulls instead. :-)

Can i go run through the group of them and stir up commotion? or have a cute little blonde girl who couldnt be older than 5 or a little boy with bouncing curls.

So besides my mind going wild with ideas.... A wonderful shot with great contrast. BW was a great choice for this shot!

Well it ain't pigeons . . but I kinda like the shot.

Good tonal range, nice DoF, good crowd of gulls and a pleasing sky - not to mention the great diagonal.
