It's a side challenge. I can use a heavily stylized border if I want to and the "border patrol" can't do a damn thing about it!

Tucumcari seems to be the mother lode of roadside kitsch. Found a lot to photograph here, but eventually had to get back on the road.

Ordinarily, I'm not a fan of big borders, but this one works extremely well. It's a retro border for a shot of retro stuff, and it's not obtrusive.

Cool shot and processing. The yellow cast gives it a nice vintage look.

Sounds and looks like a great trip. The borders are fun and perfect, IMHO.

Great colours ... you have a very distinctive colour style and I like it.

Fanstastic find. It's not often you see someplace called Ranch House Cafe, that's a Mexican food restaurant. But it doesn't look like they're serving any longer. :)

I'd love to buy this stamp :). And, I'd love to do repeat your road trip, unfortunately I'm too far away :). Well maybe some day...

Befitting border. I thought the sign was on top of the wagon in the other pic.

You tell 'em!!!! I think the border is perfect given the old look of this. It really does tell a story.

Nicely done. A candidate for a series of stamps about decay.

surprisingly enough i've been selected to represent the border patrol .. & fortunately for you, after much deliberation, we have decided to pass this heavily stylized border on the grounds that we find it .. FANTASTIC .. !!
there was only one dissenter in our fairly large border patrol group, which i found interesting and also reminiscent of dpc voters .. there often seems to be one 'bad' apple .. !!
anyhooo .. i love the bright colours ... its an excellent photograph .. seems to scream road trip to me .. probably coz of my connection to the border patrol .. :)
