 Found this leaf at the shop - transported it home and held it up against the background (which in Washington state is green trees)

the leaves are turning right now and leaves are starting to fall - the reds and oranges are my favorite!

This just makes me so happy. I just finished a kitchen redo and I told someone I wanted photos of fall leaves - particularly red ones. This type of thing is what I had in mind. We don't get much in the red leaf department here. I like that this almost has a papery feel with part of it decayed away from the veins. Very pretty.

Like roz I.m just entering spring, (and just as pleased about it as she is) so it is fascinating to see this brilliant piece of Autumn (Fall). Those beautiful reds look lovely against the green of the background, and the tatters in the leaf allow that to show through beautifully.

this is totally excellent .. i'm loving the gorgeous colours so much .. it looks like you're going into autumn .. i'm going into spring .. thank goodness .. !! .. i'm not a winter lover or rather a lover of winter .. that could have been misunderstood .. !!..:)
