I essentially had two (2) days worth of shots to choose from for this entire month. This is from my outing to Union Station with Johanna. Bike being walked through the main part of the station. Levels, duplicated the layer, soft light blending mode, flatten, resize.

Thanks to RKT for the title - this was up briefly on flickr and she commented on it. :-)

Lovely shot - rich in colour and movement, with a whole carried question of who is pushing the bike ? Are they young or old ? Male or female, do they have shopping on the back or a kiddies seat ? And where are they going ? or maybe coming from ? Work ? Home ? Out to meet friends ? Are they in a rush ? Are they excited - full of dreams to share and happy crazy plans fighting in their head - wanting to spill out to a bigger audience ?

The gold colour lifts this and gives a rich positive feel to the whole narrative process . .

Aother of your shots Deb that if people take the time to look at and ponder they get drawn into a whole world of wondering and enjoyment.

Very nice.

We are neighbours! And you're good. Love the movement in this one, and (as so often) the colours. B&W is great, but colours are so juicy :)

PS -- that piece of glass, I made it to make photos getting soot on it by burning an old garden hose, but then I got the glass all wet and it got completely messed up. Got to make a new one.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Lovely stuff - the gold coloration is very pretty indeed and the degree of motion blur is just right. The contrast of the reflected areas is wonderful, giving a really rich feel to the image.

Critical stuff: Nothing.

Overall: I really like this - aside from the coloration, very Nixtery (always a good thing!)

This is a very well done photograph because it gives the feeling of motion - which is also the reason I can't look at it very long! Makes me queasy!

Can't tell you how much I love this. It's fantastic. I'm sure it's not scoring anywhere near the score I would like to give it. But equally I'm sure there are a lot of people who love it.

Terrific. I love the golden tones. The blur is fabulous and you can't go wrong with a bicycle.
