Well after much nail biting and consulting with a trusted few :-) I went with the out-on-a-limb Oreotini. Ok so it's a product shot essentially. But everyone knows Oreos are black and white. Milk is white and goes with Oreos...and what the hell I have some martini glasses kicking around...eh wala!

Used a big flood overhead and behind the Oreos/martini to light the white foamboard. Then used a 2nd flood with a 100w bulb to punch up the whites in the Oreos, without trying to flood the glass with too much light. And reinforced the Oreo wafer on the edge of the glass with a medium gloss craft varnish, before carefully sawing at it with a knife to get the wedge I needed to hold it on the glass. Used tripod and mirror lockup.

Hey, at least you did something original with a wine glass! You should get extra points for that!

Nice concept. A little oversharpended

I find this almost uncomfortable to look at, very bright, and rather harsh. I find the foreground/background blend quite disorientating and adds to my visual discomfort. I am sure this will appeal to some, just not me.

Is there milk in there, I can't see d/t blown up highlights. Great idea for this shot, I'm not sure if I'm going to like the taste of the drink

ok first of all great concept and nice execution of a setup. however the lighting on the oreos that are stacked looks a little blown out and it distracts my eye....7 but would have been a point or two higher with better lighting/processing on the oreos

Oreos are always a winner. I wish I could see the contents of the glass better, but I still really like this.

Perhaps a bit overexposed - I think there is milk in the glass but it's hard to tell because it's so bright. Cute setup though.
