I was lucky enough to be staying with my friend who lives in the north west of Spain.
While I was there they had the festival "Curro das canizadas"
The rounding up, corralling, branding and mane and tail trimming of local wild horses.

could've been a Goya drawing. Excellent image Nick! (I just came across your recent postings from your world tour, fantastic work!)... are you in LA now?! Did you see Deb? maybe you can swing by San Diego then? (I am out of town till tomorrow night however)

The face in the foreground appears as an almost mythical human figure, a wild frontier lies ahead.

Nick, this is absolutely superb. The movement makes the shot. What a cool event. Your travel photos are great. I'm insanely jealous and can't wait to see more.

Just an amazing shot. Very artistic. The exposure / blur allows for the viewer to get a sense of the wild nature of the horses.

It is awesome - your processing is divine. Though my heart bleeds for those horses. What's with the need to squelch everything that's wild and beautiful?

This is so freakin' fabulous I can't stand it. Captures the frenzy and confusion, but also the beauty of the moment.

Beautiful motion blur. I like the yellow tone - looks like dust in the air.
