 Wow. I put a lot of work into this one.
I saw the clouds outside and ran and grabbed my camera and was able to get three shots before the dramatic cloud formation broke.

I asked Yo_Spiff a lot about this entry and he gave some great advice. I wouldn't've thought about half of the things that needed to be addressed without him. Thanks Steve -- sorry for pestering you!

The original shot was quite dark on the roof and bright in the sky so I used layers to bring out the details on both areas. I use Lightroom so downloaded GIMP to work with layers. Spent a while learning to use 'em and then used a touch of topaz detail to bring out some of the details and encourage more definition. Lastly some final adjustments in Lightroom again. Export, and here I am now.

I had some fun with topaz along the way too. Slightly different shot but same session.

The sky is wonderful. There's some added interest with the person being in the scene. That's not a lot of ladder to get around the roof like that lol.

I gave this a 7 and think it should of landed higher than it did... it def should of hit the 6 mark....
