 Created three different images with varying levels so that I could create a "mock" HDR image in Photomatix Pro in combination with the original image. Used levels, curves, Color Efex Pro semi-transparent layer of user-defined bi-color filter (to add color to top and bottom), color sat/balance, dodge/burn brush, NI, sharpen, blur brush to smooth out a few pixelated spots in the sky (and I see now that I missed a few! ha), added border and saved for Web.

Post-challenge: WOOHOO! Thrilled to get an HM in a FS. My score kept going back and forth over 7 and I was hoping it would stick, but I have zero complaints about this finish! THANK YOU for all the great comments and favorites!

Is it just me....or do the two buildings in the background, far right look like WTC 1 & 2? Same height...one with the radio tower on top...taller than everything else?? Did this challenge allow photos from the past?? Or am I out of my mind and WAYYY wrong here?? Maybe I should get more sleep?

Anyone who could shoot hong kong from "that angle" would be a brilliant photographer since that is New York, shot from New Jersey.

Hong Kong is a very over photographed city, especially from this angle. However, I think this photo is, by far, the best photo that I have ever seen of the city. You have done a FANTASTIC job in capturing it. You have been robbed on only a 6.95, because it should be far higher than that. Great, great job!

Man I have almost this exact photo in my portfolio but it just doesn't compare to what you've achieved here... either I need a new camera or need to figure out how to use PS better.

Was that taken at Weehawken? I remember being at Weehawken at about 1:00 in the morning taking a shot like this, and it was so beautiful I could hardly stand it. You captured it so well! CONGRATULATIONS on an honorable mention!
