Carrie, if you have time, google 'histogram' & see if you can find the histogram info in your PP software. 'Blown out' is slang for loss of detail. Of course, if the white edge of the leaf had little detail to begin with, you can't catch very fine detail with anything but light coming in low & from the side, called 'raking light.' FWIW, 'blown out' wasn't the first thing I thought when I looked at this--I thought "ooh, cool." I've spent my fair share of time trying to capture cana lily leaves (or are these banana tree leaves?)--they do such interesting things in the light. Keep on clickin'!

Blown out means too bright or could be overprocessed (try lightening brightness or contrast). It is a gorgeous image!
