I enjoy the composition of your picture—it is unusual but it works. ones eye seems to be led around in a square reading the signs and I find that I go back to the focal point which is the woman’s face.Having said that I think this works in the context of this challenge—it is a very newspaper image-packed with information so that the copywriters don’t have to do much work! In the background the spikey fence fits well into the image of an angry protester.
Your photo seems well exposed although I notice criticisms of overexposure—but I think you may have oversaturated the colour or used levels too much or used a small part of the picture –blown up-- because there are chromatic aberrations all over the photo-in the leaves along the sign and these may be exacerbated by the over saturation.
However I think the strength of your subject – the owl like spectacles peering defiantly from a white face enveloped in a black anorak – This is an image that the viewer remembers for a long time.

Good subject. Photo too sharp and bright with all the white on the signs. The leaves in th background actually hurt my eyes, as well as the fence. Good subject but poor execution. PTL4 |

this is a lot like the firemen picket line picture that got submitted this week - you got great compositions that include all the signs - at the same time you can tell the woman's got a real compelling look on her face, and that's where the real sweet rectangle's gonna be, when you look at this shot you want to be close enough to really see her. |

You could make it focus a little more on your subject if you used the narrower aspect ratio -- it still retains the entire sign but gets rid of anything extraneous. |

I don't agree but will put that aside and say the shot is pretty good. The perspective could of been a bit improved and the crop on the bottom is not even. Over all- nice job and on topic! Justine |

I don't think the tree has helped here, obscuring the sign and placcard. Maybe there was a better shot a few steps to your right? Could have done with a few more protesters too, but that's not really under you control! |

I know balancing the components of this photo may have been difficult. Have the sign partially blocked by the tree takes a little away from the overall feel. |

Good content, exposure is about 1 stop over exposed and try not to cut a sign in two with a tree |
