CRITIQUE CLUB!!!
Rich colors and lots of details make this image pop out from the monitor, and that's a great way to grab anyone's attention.
The focus and details of this image are excellent. The strong vertical lines from the planks, the view tilted upward, and the corner of the brick building all give the photo a feeling of height, like it's towering over something.
The ridged roofline of the brick building has an odd tint -- probably the result of the harsh reflections from the cloudy day. It almost looks like the photo has been overly sharpened or otherwise manipulated, but I'm sure that's just a trick of the eye.
Journalistically I'm not sure how well this would fare, as it doesn't show the entire building, or the portion of the building that will be museum-related. IMHO, a "photojournalism" picture should either tell a story on its own, or support a story that is being relayed -- this really doesn't do either, unfortunately. Without the title, it would be hard to imagine this photo being placed in a publication other than for its photographic qualities.
A lovely photo with great textures and interest to the viewer overall.

Not sure how this fits the challenge (yes I read the title) but I'll give you a 10 because it's a great shot. What a great shot for a cloudy day!. Jacko 10 |

Interesting subject. I like the colours, but I think I would have tried to photograph only the wooden part of the house and try to crop out the stone part. Both things together look a bit strange because of the different textures. Although it's probably a seldom and interesting thing in achitecture to see wood and stone combined like this :-) -stephan |

I like the composition here. Not too sure about the journalism aspect. |

journalistically, the bottom part of building and museum entrance would have been interesting too. |

it's pretty, but not an especially informative rectangle, doesn't tell me museum or ironworks. dig the picture, tough to score it high for this challenge though. |

Beautiful old building. I'd like to see all of it. At least the door to get in. As a photo the colors are vibrant and beautiful and the bricks stand out beautifully. Just not enough of the building. I'd want to read the article but hope there's better pictures of the building in the article. More would made this an 8 or 9 at least. PTL6 |

I love the color in this picture as well as the exposure. It is an interesting one. The only thing I would like would there to be some detail in the sky. It looks a bit blown out and uninteresting. Just a thought.

I really love this shot. Not the crop on the right. However this is just stunning. I hope you can shoot this again sometime when there is a blue sky. Maybe a tad bit too dark here, anyway fantastic photography place.............Good shooting. Justine |

Certainly a beautiful photo, I'm not sure how it would translate to newspaper format, you'd lose the rich colors which are its strong point. You should be pleased with it. |
