Extraordinary? Try June free study, buddy. ;-)

Just a shallow DOF, only adjusted curves, saturation and color levels. I understand what you mean, though.

A classic western shot. Love the detail on the boot. not as sure on the DOF range. Great colors. 9

Had to add this to my faves...I have a cowboy thing, I guess! :o) Wonderful colors, DOF is excellent; love the angle. Beautiful!

Too bad about the timing. This would have been outstanding in the advertisement challenge. You probably hate to hear that as much as I do. lol
Well. Now for the critique. Viewed on a pc with ms ie.
Dof ok. I think it would have been more effective to have the second boot a little more in focus. I just now saw it. One would be better able to see the fence line which might be an important leading line in the composition.
The color is nice and rich but a bit on the underexposed side.
Composition, perfect.
Exposure. There isn't a good range in tones. The sole of the boot is so dark much of the detail is lost and the fence blends in with the trees.
I do like this and think it is well thought out but maybe suffered a little from the post processing..

the colours of this and the humour is just fantastic, my favourite of the whole challenge! :)

I'm giving this a 6 but would have scored it higher if the photo were larger. This is such a great and creative idea that it seems a shame to make it so small.
