A shore bird, I believe an American avocet, which nests on the Aqua Hedionda Lagoon in Carlsbad, CA. The sun was setting as the bird came in for a landing on this tidal pool. The water is actually just a few inches deep, but it looks as if its dancing on the water.

Doesn't meet the challenge brief. Good luck. ;)

This is special. My fave so far - poise, comp, mood - it's beautiful.

I just love the simplicity and feel of this shot and I think it's perfectly named. I might have liked a little more interest in the tones - something a tad more golden. Better to under do it than over do it though, IMO. This is a nice shot.

Lovely reflection, however I think it would have alot more impact if only the reflection of the legs were included (crop the reflection of the body from the bottom of the image). 7

The water droplets trailing from the left foot, and their reflection really make this photo. The colors on the water at the top are also great. A 9.

I think including the rest of the reflection would have improved the photo's appeal.

I love the lighting, the negative space, the texture of the water, the silhouette...but I sure do wish the reflection was captured in its entirety. That would make this shot darn near perfect. Good image all the same. :o)

Nice capture! Great interest. I wish the reflection was not cropped in 1/2. It might be better to crop by the reflection's legs or show the entire reflection. The silhouette is nice too. I would like to see more yellows and oranges though!

I would love to have seen more shadow. But I like the silhoutte. More shadow is my only minor complaint. 6.
