This might have been a good shot for the Superstitions challenge too! I'm not sure how effective this is, though. The photo should tell a story on its own, and this looks like a too-tight macro of a mushroom or something. Perhaps more focus would help? Although you were probably going for the out-of-focus effect. muckpond

Is this an out of focus Cervical Diaphram. Could be a Mushroom. You have my curiosity.

Did anyone come out when they landed.? Did you get any pictures of them? Hope your story answers these questons. This picture makes me want to know more about it. I like the out of focus. Makes it look real. Good execution for what you wanted. Good job. PTL6

Flash reflection in center ruins the attemp. I would accept the blur for the goal you want to achieve.
Angle also confuses me. You seem to be looking down, but stars show at top.

I think the lack of focus adds something interesting to the mystery of this shot... good work :) - setzler

First let me say this shot made me laugh :) That in itself is worth something :)
Composition ~ If this image was dome the way I think it was done, you likely didn't have much control over where in the frame it appeared, but you may have wanted to take a wider shot and crop to spec. The position of the 'craft' doesn't really work well (at least for me)... Exposure ~ There are 'burn spots' on the craft, but for this kind of shot they belong there... Focus ~ Crisp sharp focus would have ruined this shot. Well done... Challenge ~ Easily expect to see this shot anytime I go to the supermarket :) Nice job! ~ Myqyl ~

I think a different crop, maybe not so tight on the bottom, would help. Also, there are some bright washed out areas that make it difficult to look at. I had originally given this a much lower score, but after re-evaluating it, I am bumping it up some because it looks like those ufo shots seen in tabeloids. karmat

Heheh nice try. Would probably have looked better if the 'UFO' was smaller and in the sky though.
