Nice focus, nice colors, icky snail. Composition could use improvement - the twigs are distracting, and the tenatcles are cut off.

The DOF o this pic is poor. I not sure if you crop this pic if you did you took out a lot I wish I was able to see the whole thing. To me the most interesting thing in this creatures are the shell no the head. good job

Came back to your shot and bumped up my original score. Nice macro shot showing detail and color. I think all scores suffered in this comp because of many pics just not being "extraordinary" to many viewers. . Why such a tight crop on the upper antenna.(Is that what its called?)Very nice shot overall.

Nice texture and color. The twigs in the background are a bit distracting however.

Nice macro. Looks like it'll leave a slime trail on my monitor. Light and color seem good. Not sure about cropping out the top antenna.

Nice shot but I miss the eyes.. Without them I think it looses something.

Like your idea. Living in the PNW I have taken many snail shots. They are so odd. Good entry.

I would like to see at least one of the snail's eyes in focus. Since one is out of frame that leaves the one I can see and it's blurry. There seems to be a considerable amount of noise in this photo. Was this taken at with a high ISO setting? Or maybe what I am seeing is a result of compression.
