Of course you didnt captured this explosion since there is no smoke and, given the speed of burn of powders, you would need a high speed flash shot of about
1/1.000.000 second to freeze this image. Anyway good inventive.

It seems to me like standing still... if I am correct, you have it all laying on a yelow surface, with sand spread like in a explosion. I mean this because no fire light is present, and I had made many experiments like this and always appears the "bloom" with moving particle lights.

Is the firecracker supposed to be going off here? Hard to tell. If it is, there are no sparks, which makes it just look like a broken firecracker.

I think this is a pretty original idea and it's refreshing to see people thinking about their shots. I dont particularly like the choice of background colour because it competes too much with the powder.. something a bit darker would have suited it better. 7

Black Cats from the corner are a good interesting composition.......... the empty unusual yellow back some how visually limits the depth of the explosion.
