whats really said is just assuming someone cheated, many people have had this happen simply because they forgot to make sure their camera was set to the right date. |
Agreed. Tons of experienced photographers on this site make this mistake all the time, it's probably the most common reason to get DQ'd on DPC. It's sad that you just assumed he cheated. |

Many people are wondering how I get that shot...
This is very simple :
On lower left corner you can see a little window as part of the canopy. You can pull it back to get some fresh air... ;) or put your camera out of it and get nice shots obsviously without seeing anything!! So I took many shots to get the good frame, a nice composition with the clouds and the reflection.
It was a one seat-glider so right hand to pilot and the left one half out of the canopy. The thing is that a glider is relatively slower that an aircraft ( you can slower down to 80km/h ) and you don't have a strong stream of air that could come from a propeller. |

The dedicated photopgrapher leapt from the little plane with nothing but a camera and the strong belief that he could land on that lonely looking glider flying by. He hits the target then thinks "Ooops, now how do I get down from here?" |

Holy cow !! You HAVE to tell me how you took this picture. I have been trying to figure out the way to safely mount a camera somewhere in the outside of a 182 in such a way that a portion of the aircraft is visisble in the frame (preferably without the obstructing wing) but have not come up with an answer yet. My dream is to take a long exposure (seveal seconds)picture during a take off (and/or landing), at dusk or night, from a busy airport with lights all over. |

Do I want to know how you did this??? |

I like the image and viewpoint, the reflected images off the canopy and the cumulus building up in the background really make it more than a standard 'competent' image into something 'interesting'. Cool |

Not a perspective most of us had available. Is this a glider, or is the extreme perspective making it look shaped that way? How the heck did you get your camera out there? |
