Ok this was not easy to do To find a nice lighting with 1 halogen lamp, I tried to use the halogen lamp on the background and flash on her but the lighting was flat then, so I skipped the flash, I wanted some shadows in her face, It took a lot of tries to moving the lamp around and stuff :) For the background I used brown paper.
Thanks to my model Anna :)
And her boyfriend Krissi who was patiently holding a white cloth in front of the halogen lamp the whole time :)

Lighting: Nicely done, but is a bit too dark on the right and you lost detail in her hair for it.
Pose: works well.
Background: compliments the portrait nicely.

Great composition/placement of your model - eye level and direct look into the lens engaged me immediately. you've worked wonders with the light/shadow making this a unique and well done portrait. One of my ribbon picks

Very good portrait! The lighting is excellent and the pose is very relaxed and good. The model is also very beautiful. Excellent work!

My first impulse is to crop a little more off the right, but it doesn't seem to be a big deal. A good use of the "non-portrait" format.

Well done! One of my favorites in this group. One of the few softly lit shots that work well, too. I wish there was a little more saturation in the color because the hair and eyes look like they could be quite rich. I like the drama of the dark areas, but I might have burned in the left background a bit to pull the balance away from the heavy right side.

I like the colors in this picture - the background, her hair, her eyes and skin tone. The lighting on the face is good, focus is sharp. What I cant get past is that the pose seems uncomfortable. Perhaps if you included the bottom arm, or just a little more context all around. 6

Excellent. Her eyes are awesome and you're made them the focus of your photo. Great job. Jacko. 10

I like the color which has a rose hue and the cropping which causes us to focus on her face.

I'd play up those amazing eyes a bit more...eye on right side is cut off a bit with the light.

I think this would have scored better if you had brought the light forward to move the shadow line toward the edge of her face a little

I think this is a nice portrait, however the lighting seems a blit too dark. Her head fades into the background.

Captivating expression - great lighting and perfect selection of background color. Border = not. Focus on the eyes is perfect!

Nice dramatic lighting. The color seems a bit subdued, I think that works here. Anyway, I like it well enough. - 8

Need some lighting on the right side. Her hair color kinda blends with the right side of her face.

Great eyes, nice job on them. I feel like maybe you're a bit too high and shes not as comfortable looking up that high (obviously, you did this to make her open her eyes a bit ... just maybe it's too high). Also, perhaps a little too dark on the right, but maybe not ... nice.

I really like the lighting and the muted tones of this shot. But the eyes really do it for me with this shot. Very nicely done.

Nice shot and nice pose. The bright right elbow drags my eye away a bit to the corner , but not too much. Good work.

This one is amazing ... like the space that are to the left and also like how these eyes gets me to look straight at the face ...

Intense, I love it. The brown gradient at the back, the lighting, and the model's colouring all go together to make this a really beautiful portrait. Great stuff.
