this is a great shot. the grain, the contrast, the way the people are moving... you should have won this challenge- problem is voters appear to be searching for large - fill th eframe subject matter.
I like this shot though- good going. |

| Maybe in a 1950 newspaper, why so grainy and high contrast? This could do with a bit more focus, and might even have done better in color. Even when taking a scene like this, it's important to think about your focal point, which right now is the bench at the bottom center. The tree midcenter would have been a better choice, since it would pull the eye to the whole image rather than down to the bottom. |
