 "The Beloit Snappers' Steve Moss slides safely into first base after the Swing's pitcher throws to first baseman Brock Peterson in a pickoff attempt." Note - both teams were wearing Negro League uniforms in honor of the Old Timers Day at the ball park.

Not sure how the pic illustrates the headline -- what's the ray of hope? But...the picture is very good, and what makes it great is the ball stopped in mid-flight in the upper left. Good focus, DOF, etc. I just don't quite see the connection of this particular headline with this particular picture. 7
